Developed to help raise money to establish a community center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The community center will provide Mental Health resources with an emphasis on the challenges of African American people. Her passion for the mental health field over the course of 4 years has given birth to the idea of opening the center. Shadiqua’s journey began with her own experiences and mental health struggles. Throughout her life, she has withstood numerous traumatic events. Being as a suicide survivor and was hospitalized several times during her upbringing is a testament to these events.The concept of mental health is misunderstood and often ignored in her hometown.
